Delta HoS Charges Journalists To Be Balanced In Their Reportage

The Head of Service of Delta State, Mr. Reginald Bayoko, mni, has charged journalists to always balance their reports before going to the press to ensure that all sides of the story are told for the general good of the society.

The Head of Service gave this charge when the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Truth Newspaper Chapel paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

He charged the Chapel to ensure that their stories were balanced, truthful and get to the grassroots and assured them of his office readiness to partner with them whenever the need arises.

Mr. Bayoko commended the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor, Comrade Kingsley Azuh for the initiative of floating the Truth newspaper to enhance the publicity of the numerous SMART projects and activities of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration.

On his part, the Chairman of Truth Chapel, Comrade Charles Nwabardi thanked the HOS for the opportunity of the visit, saying that they were in his office to introduce to him the new Chapel that was approved by the National body early in the year and assured him of the Chapel’s support throughout his tenure.

Okowa’s Visit To Ndokwa West, Patani Now Friday, Saturday 

The Town Hall meetings, inspection and commissioning of projects by the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, in Ndokwa West and Patani Local Government Areas earlier scheduled to hold on October 24 and  October 25 will now take place on Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21, 2017.

A statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Chairman  for the organising committee of the event, Mr. Patrick Ukah, disclosed that the Governor and his entourage will pay courtesy visits to the palaces of the Oduosa of Utagba-Ogbe Kingdom and the Pere of Tabowei Kingdom, inspect ongoing projects as well as commission completed ones on the first day of the visit.

On the second day, the Governor will hold Town Hall meetings with persons drawn from different groups in the areas. During the meetings, he will give his score card and allow people to react and ask questions.

The statement regrets any inconveniences the shift in date would have caused.

The Governor and his entourage visited Udu and Okpe Local Government Areas on Tuesday and Wednesday.
