The NPA Warri / Effurun Express Way now wears a new look of decency as the Warri/ Uvwie and Environs Development Agency in conjunction with Delta State Ministry of Environment embarked on the clearing of weeds and refuse on the sides and median of the ever busy express way.
Scores of heavy duty vehicles including moribund oil tankers parked on both sides of the road were also evacuated at as the time our correspondents visited the area.
A staff of the agency, who did not want his name mentioned in the print, affirmed that the sanitation exercise was carried out by the agency in conjunction with Delta State Ministry of Environment for five days.
He further stated that motorists as well as the Nigerian Army in the Effurun axis of the road were happy about the exercise.
“The Nigerian Army authority has even pleaded that we should use the cleared weeds and other refuse to fill the borrow pits on the sides of their barracks,” he said.
