The Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, has restated his Ministry’s commitment to play a pivotal role in the dissemination of information and general publicity of activities of the various sectors in the state.

Mr Aniagwu disclosed this today when members of the Technical and Vocational Education Board (TVEB) paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Thursday, January 16th, 2020, in Asaba.

The commissioner who promised to deploy the services of Smart Delta to cover activities and programs of the Board free of charge emphasised the need to pay for services rendered by other media organizations under the Ministry in order for them to survive and serve them better.

According to the Commissioner, every media organization and all sectors of the state need to be funded by well-meaning individuals to survive, serve the people better and maintain standardization outside government funding.

Speaking further, Mr. Aniagwu encouraged the Executive Secretary of the Vocational Education Board, Mr. Smart Ikem Smart, to continue to promote the Stronger Delta agenda of the administration.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary of the Vocational Education Board, Mr Smart Ikem, stated that there is need to train the youths and equip them to become entrepreneurs and masters of their own which is the duty and goal of Vocational Education otherwise known as Blue collar job.

Mr Ikem Smart solicited for the collaboration of the Ministry of Information to sensitize and inform the youths, fully equip and engage them to curb armed robbery and youth restiveness and also teach them life skills.

The Executive Secretary thanked the Commissioner, the management and staff of the Ministry of Information for their collaboration and support in achieving their set object.
