The effort in the achievement of Stronger Delta agenda by the Delta State Government through the development of a World Class Airport in Asaba the State Capital has once again received commendation.
This commendation was given by the Station Manager of AZMAN AIR SERVICES LIMITED, Auwal Ahmad, during a courtesy visit on the Commissioner for Information Hon. Charles Aniagwu in his office.
The Station Manager while giving a brief synopsis of the Airline stated that the company has been operating for the past six years and that the company had experienced steady growth thereby giving rise to the company’s decision to connect the North and South, and Asaba Airport had been chosen for its world class facilities especially the terminal buildings and the runway.
Mr. Ahmad noted that the decision to choose Asaba Airport to start business between North and South was also because of the town’s strategic location as a link between the South East and the South South regions.
While assuring that the airline’s inaugural flight would soon take place, Mr. Ahmad expressed the hope that soon the Airline will extend its services to become daily affair, while also promising excellent services for the passengers.
Hon. Charles Aniagwu in his response applauded Azman Air Services Limited for making a wise decision and taking a bold step to establish their presence in the South.
He recalled that sometime in 2015 Asaba Airport was downgraded but the Government of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa ensured that Asaba Airport become one of the best in the Country by upgrading the facilities hence it didn’t come as a surprise that Azman has chosen Asaba Airport thereby joining other Airlines that are currently plying the route.
Commissioner Aniagwu stated that apart from other quality facilities in the Airport, the runway is comparable to that of the best Airports in the world hence it will be rewarding if the company commences International flight from the Airport whenever they are ready.
Hon. Aniagwu assured of the peaceful disposition of the good people of Delta State noting that economically, the business will be viable and beneficial to all.
