CRUSADE: PASTOR PROPHESIZE ON RESOLUTION OF OKERE-URHOBO KINGSHIP DISPUTE
A renowned clergy Pastor E.A Kalejaiye who is the Regional Pastor of Region 23 of Redeem Christian Church of God has prophesized that before the end of 2016 the lingering Orosuenship (Kingship) dispute in Okere Urhobo Kingdom will be resolved and that a monarch will be crowned for the ancient Okere Urhobo Kingdom Warri that has been without a king after the glorious exist of HRM Okumagba I four years ago.
 
Pastor Kalejaiye who made the prophesy in a one-day crusade in Otor Orere the traditional headquarters of Okere Urhobo kingdom Warri at the weekend also prophesized that the uncompleted network road project in the community will be completed very soon, saying that God does embark on a project that He will not complete even as he foresees a brighter future for the Okere Urhobo people as well as praying  for the long life, happiness and prosperity of the eldest  person (Okpako Orere) of the kingdom who  was physically present at the one-day power parked crusade. He also prayed against forces that have been fighting against the positive development of Okere Urhobo Kingdom
 
A leader in the community Chief (Hon) Bright Okumagba has earlier towards the end of the sermon of the Yoruba born man of God, humbly requested that special and specific prayers should be said for the settlement of the lingering kingship tussle in the kingdom, the completion of the uncompleted road network project, the betterment of Okere Urhobo people mostly the youths and the long life of the eldest person of the Kingdom.
 
Speaking to journalists at the event the chairman of Okere Urhobo Development Movement Comrade Cyril Eboh noted that the crusade was a welcome development to the kingdom and that people have yearning for it, believing that God has answered all the prayers that were said for the people and the kingdom of Okere Urhobo kingdom. He further called on the entire Urhobo people to embrace peace “Our Lord Jesus Christ brought peace to mankind. So we should embrace peace.”

URHOBO PROGRESS UNION: YOUTH WING LEND CREDENCE
The leadership of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Youth Wing Worldwide otherwise known as Ukoko Ighelle Urhobo has passed a vote of confidence on the National President of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Chief (Engr.) Joe Orode Omene and also endorsed the Mosogar born UPU President General for another tenure.
 
The National President of Ukoko Ighelle Urhobo Comrade Ovie Igho Anthony made the disclosure in an exclusive chat with our correspondent at Empire Nite Club (former Revolution Nite Club) Effurun during the honouring of past leaders of the UPU Youth Wing at the weekend.
 
Comrade Ovie in the media chat called on the Urhobos to support the government in place so that there will be meaningful development in Urhobo Nation.

He had earlier disclosed that the decision to endorse Chief Omene for tenure was taken at the National Urhobo Youth Summit held on Saturday October 29th, 2016.
On his part, the secretary of the group Comrade Rex Ekiugbo Emojite Anighoro in a chat with our reporter explained that the past leaders of the group were being honoured for their excellent stewardship for Urhobo youths and Urhobo Nation.

Anighoro who is an aide to governor Okowa added that “in this great future, we cannot forget our past” (quoting legendary Bob Marley).
 
In his contribution Hon (Chief) Westham Adehor (JP) the pioneer president of the group expressed appreciation to the new leadership of the group for the honour even as he called on the Urhobo youths to diversify to other areas of the economy other than oil in order for the Urhobo Nation to be great.” We should keep Urhobo united and strong.”
 
Similarly, a distinguished past leader of UPU Youth Wing Comrade Mike Lota expressed happiness that the present leadership of the group has followed the legacies that were left for them by the past leaders of the group. “So I feel very great and elated.”
 
High light of the event was the decoration of the past leaders of the group with medals.
Some of those who were honoured include Chief Westham Adehor (JP), Prince Mike Lota, and Chief Abel Adigun amongst others.

Cheering news for the people of Uvwie particularly those of the Eruohwo Ruling House for  a distinguished member of the royal house Hope Akasa  will be conferred with  a chieftaincy title by HRM Emmanuel Ekemejewan Sideso (JP) OON Abe I, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom onSaturday November 12th, 2016 at the permanent palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom G.R.A Effurun following  the successful screening of the patriotic Uvwie indigene who many see as a symbol of unity, love and peace in  Eruohwo House by the Executive Committee Uvwie Traditional Council of Chiefs at the temporary palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom Jakpa Road Effurun.
 
He was accompanied by a galaxy of who is who in Eruohwo Ruling House, including other relations and friends for the event.
 
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the screening exercise by the executives of Uvwie Traditional Council of Chiefs the elated Hope Akasa expressed appreciation to the executive of the Uvwie Traditional Council of Chiefs, the Alegbon Traditional Administrative Zone (Etche) of Uvwie Kingdom and the Eruohwo Ruling House for considering him worthy of a chieftaincy title in the ancient Urhobo Kingdom of Uvwie.
 
While saying that the honour will spur him to do more for the Uvwie Kingdom, the would- be- chief of Uvwie pledged his total loyalty to Abe I who he described  as a role model not only  to the institution of traditional rulers  in Urhobo Nation, Delta State but Nigeria at large.” Umogu (Abe I) has been a source of pride to every Uvwie person. This is because of his rapid positive transformation of Uvwie kingdom since he ascended the throne. He is open minded and forthright in his ruler ship of Uvwie Kingdom  I pray God to continue to bless him to do more good things for Uvwie, Urhobo Nation, Delta State and Nigeria.”

IDJERHE KINGDOM HOLDS 7-DAY PRAYER CONFERENCE TO HEAL THE LAND
The people of Idjerhe kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State have ended a 7 day prayer conference for their land with the theme ‘’Pulling Down Evil Alters in the land, Judges 6:25-26 with a call by their traditional ruler, HRM Erhiekevwe1(JP),PNM Ovie of Idjerhe kingdom on the people to remain steadfast in the Lord.
 
HRM Erhiekevwe1, who addressed Journalists at the end of the prayer conference in his palace at Jesse town the administrative headquarters of Idjerhe kingdom said the annual prayer conference is formed in the community in commemoration of the fire disaster which occurred in the land through the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC Pipeline which gutted fire by killing several persons in October 17, 1998.
 
He remarked that the exercise commenced soon after irate youths set his palace ablaze years back, where he, in conjunction with members of the Christian Association of Nigeria Idjerhe chapter, went round the community to thank God for his life, thereafter they agreed that each October every year, they (Idjerhe people) would devote a week of thanksgiving/prayer and fasting to God from church to church within the seven days of prayers to be rounded off at the palace.
 
The Monarch explained further that since the prayer conference began, it had yielded positive impact on his people, as the survivals used the occasion to pray to God and as well thank God for sparing their life, while the community as a whole pray to God for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in that darkest hours of Idjerhe kingdom.
 
He added that the occasion of the prayer conference calls for increase prayers for the community just as he appreciated his people for their cooperation with him all year round, as he advised them to remain in prayers for him and the land, and avoid situations that could lead or bring danger to the land, and to themselves.
 
He commended the Delta State government for resuming the construction of the dual carriage way leading into Jesse Town, even as he appealed to the government to construct Ovade-Jesse road including the failed portions of Jesse-Boboruku and the construction of Onyobru water side road that are in deplorable situation.
 
The Idjerhe prayer and fasting week which commenced on Monday 17 through Saturday 22 October, 2016 at the Church of God Mission, followed by Gospel Faith Renewal Mission, All Faith Revival Church, Christ Gospel Church, St. Peters Anglican Church, First Baptist Church all in Jesse town, with their leader. REFUSE DISPOSAL: WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD FROWNS AT ILLEGAL DUMPSITE AT STAFF QUARTERS
A Private Sector Participant (PSP), MC P Ventures has taken waste collection job to a higher level even in Delta State
 
The cleaning Company demonstrated her prowess in the waste management industry during the last Saturday Environmental Sanitation Exercise in the State when it moved lines of trucks to the areas assigned to her for immediate evacuation of wastes to the State’s approved dumpsites.
 
The areas assigned to the Company which include DBS to NAPAL (NIPCO) filling Station by Asaba-Benin Express Road to Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan Road (Summit Road), down to Ekwumekwu Round-About (Inter Bau), by Asaba Shopping Mall back to DBS Road, (left) excluding clients on Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan Road and Okpanam Road and also including the Middle Staff Management Quarters, Asaba.
 
The management of the Company assured the residents of evacuating waste to the dumpsite in as much as they are ready to co-operate with them.
 
The Delta State Waste management Board has expressed dismay at an illegal dumpsite discovered at the Middle Staff Management Staff Quarters, Asaba to the chagrin of some residents who claimed lack of knowledge of the users of the dumpsite.
 
The Board has promised to fish out the operators of the illegal dumpsite and bring them to book, even as it advised waste collectors in the State to use the State government approved dumpsite.
