Auchi Poly Class 93 Commends Okowa For Appointing Aniagwu Commissioner

Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has been commended for his choice of Mr. Charles Aniagwu as Commissioner for Information.

The Mass Communications Department class of 93, Auchi Polytechnic gave this commendation on Friday (23/08/19) in Asaba when they paid a congratulatory visit to the Commissioner in his office.

The leader of the class, Pastor Joseph Ikupa said the group was proud of Mr. Aniagwu’s meteoric rise in the journalism profession and attributed his success to the training he garnered at the Polytechnic.

He commended the Commissioner for his contributions to the group which had in no small measure gave relief to members.

“We came to show our appreciation to the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for finding one of us the Class of 93 qualified to fit into to the State Executive Council as Commissioner.

“We are indeed very grateful. This is a testimony to the fact that products of Auchi Polytechnic are good, resilient and rugged, and do their job very well.

“The Governor recognized your hard work as Chief Press Secretary in the last 4 years and has elevated you to the status of a Commissioner make us to feel very proud of you as one of our very own, our classmate, a friend and a member of the Auchi Polytechnic, Department of Mass Communications class of 1993,” he said

Responding, Mr. Aniagwu commended his classmates for the honor done him assuring that he will continue to partner with them to improve the lots of Deltans.

“It’s quite pleasing to receive you today in my office and I find it very exciting meeting you all again after so many years.

“In the course of my academic and professional career I have had cause to interface with a lot of you and I am convinced that products of the Auchi Polytechnic have a solid academic background.

“We will use this platform to strengthen the national body to achieve progress in one accord, progress in the sense that when you rise, you empower others to rise with you.

“Our business here is to tell the world what we are doing in Delta and we are doing well because the Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has good products he is selling, he said, adding “I can assure you more is yet to come because the man Okowa is determined to do more for Deltans.

“We are determined to improve on what we met here in the Ministry of Information to enable us to inform Deltans better on the workings of government,” he added.
