Deltans have been called upon to continue to support His Excellency Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa’s stay at home directive as the most effective way to keep the COVID-19 Pandemic in check.
The call was made recently by The Senior Political Adviser to the Governor Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon when he visited Patani and Bomadi Local Government Areas of the State to monitor the level of compliance with the lock down order on the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon said the decision of the lock down order by Governor Okowa was taken for the good of the general public stressing that regular washing of the hands with soap and running water coupled with social distancing and the stay at home remains the best method to contain further spread of the COVID-19 in the State.
He noted that the patient with the third case of the COVID-19 in the state is already receiving attention in one of the facilities designated for that purpose adding that the patient is reported to be in stable condition and is responding well to treatment from the State’s team of medical professionals.
Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon implored Deltans to remain calm as he is positive that the State Government working in tandem with the Federal Government will curtail further spread of the COVID-19 in the State and Country.
