Delta Govt Approves Another Secondary School

In its determination to ensure that children of school age get unhindered access to quality education, the Delta State Executive Council has approved the establishment of another secondary school in the state.

Speaking after the Council meeting held with the state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, gave the name of the school as Ovwodokpokpor Secondary School, Ovwodokpokpor-Olomu in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.

Recall that the State Executive Council recently approved the establishment of 24 schools made up of 16 Secondary and 8 Primary Schools.

Mr. Ukah further disclosed that the Council also approved the fencing of the proposed new Central Secretariat Complex to ensure the safety of lives and properties and provide a conducive working environment for civil servants.

The complex is expected to accommodate all government offices presently being housed in rented apartments in the state capital.
