Delta Scholarship Board Boss Advocates Personal Hygiene

In the face of the COVID-19 global pandemic, Deltans, especially students have been urged to practice personal hygiene.

The Executive Secretary Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, Mr. Sunny Orishedere, gave this advice while leading the staff of the Board on the ‘Operation Wash Your Hands’ exercise, after the installation of hand washing facilities in the premises of the office.

According to the Executive Secretary, from available statistics, COVID-19 was not a virus to toy with, hence the need for students and staff of the Board to key into professional advice by wearing face masks, avoiding face touching, maintaining social distance and staying indoors as much as possible as that will go a long way in reducing person to person transmission of the virus.

Mr. Orishedere, while thanking God that no confirmed case had been reported in Delta State, prayed that the virus would not find its way into the state while urging Deltans to adhere strictly to laid down precautionary measures.

He commended the proactive measures taken by the Executive Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, saying that it would go a long way in stemming the spread of the dreaded virus.

Responding, members of staff present promised to key into the safety procedures as well as ensure that the message gets to as far as possible.
