The Director General Delta State Contributory Health Commission has been assured of adequate support and partnership from the Ministry in the Commission’s determination to ensure that Deltans enjoy the benefits of quality and affordable health services which is the cardinal objective for the establishment of the Commission.
The Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Information Charles Aniagwu gave the assurance while receiving in audience the Director General of the Commission Dr. Ben Nkechika who led a high powered delegation to the Ministry’s Headquarters last Friday.
The Commissioner congratulated Dr. Nkechika for the achievements made so far and expressed the hope that with the co-operation of relevant stakeholders Deltans will embrace the scheme and in no distant time better results will be achieved.
Hon. Aniagwu while promising that the Ministry will mobilize its relevant parastatals noted that what the Commission is doing is in line with the SMART AGENDA of the Okowa led administration hence all hands must be on deck to ensure that all Deltans including those in remote areas benefit from the laudable scheme which is aimed at ensuring that all Deltans no matter the social or economic strata they belong are availed of quality and affordable health Services.
Earlier in his presentation the Director General Delta State Contributory Health Commission Dr. Ben Nkechika told the Commissioner that he led his team of officials to request for continued partnership with the Ministry as well as felicitate with the Commissioner on his recent appointment which he said was as a result of of his commitment, doggedness and loyalty.
He assured the Commissioner that the Commission under his watch will not betray the confidence reposed on it by Deltans or the Government by ensuring that the purpose for which the Commission was established was carried out to the letter.
