THE Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi has pledged to make N10 million available for the training of one person each from the nine local government areas across Delta North Senatorial District.
The Deputy Speaker made the disclosure during the Delta North Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) meeting held at Ika North East Local Government Area, where he said that the training is to partner with the state government in achieving the policy of job creation that will create jobs.
Hon. Osanebi said empowering the people through acquiring skills remains a better option as it will sustain the person’s livelihood and makes the beneficiaries contribute meaningfully to the overall development of the state.
While lauding the YAGEP programmes of the state government, he said the state governor has done well in the last one year in office and that his people are very happy with the performance of the state governor.
He said words are not enough to say the much the governor has done for the state, stating that the need for government is to develop the people and provide basic needs which the Senator Okowa’s administration has achieved.
While speaking further, he said Delta State remains a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state and that the people will remain committed towards supporting the party and its visions that has brought development and reasonable growth to the state.
