According to the letter, the commendation was in recognition of the palliative measures taken by Delta State Government to rehabilitate the Ologbo-Warri Road, saying it had eased the sufferings of commuters.
The letter reads in part, “On Thursday 26 September, 2019, the House of Representatives at its Plenary Session, deliberated on the Deplorable Condition of Benin-Warri and Benin-Asaba-Onitsha Highways and noted that the road, a major gateway between the South-South and South-East Zones which serves the human and vehicular needs of Nigerians is currently in a deplorable condition. It decried the level of accidents and loss of lives and property, as well as man-hour suffered by commuters on that road due to its bad condition as a result of neglect by the Federal Government.
