THE Member representing Ughelli South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Comrade Reuben Izeze has commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the massive infrastructural developments in his constituency.
Izeze, in a chat with newsmen, shortly after the visit of the Governor to the palace of the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, HRM Mathew Edition Egbi, said: “the Okowa administration has done so much for the people of Ughelli South, as we can see in the on-going inspection and commissioning of projects by the Governor.”
“Governor Okowa’s infrastructural development in Ughelli South local government area is commendable,” the law maker said. He further said; “though many people are surprised with Gov. Okowa’s develepmental projects in Ughelli South, I am not surprised because in the course of our campaign, I had promised my people that the Okowa administration will address the developmental challenges of Ughelli South.”
“These challenges are enormous and I must say this without any form or prevarication, I have served in two previous administrations, but this is the first administration that is attacking developmental challenges of Ughelli South frontally,” he added.
Hon. Izeze continued, “as you can see, we have commissioned the 10.8km Okpare/Umolo/Ovwodokpokpor/Kiagbodo Road and Okpe-Olomu/Otor-Orere Olomu road, Otor-Orere Olomu, we inspected the Ewu/Orere Road and we have also seen the challenges of the terrain on the other side of the river.”
“We also inspected the ongoing construction of Effurun-Otor/Ovwor bridge and Access Road and work is also ongoing at the Ekakpamre/Ekrokpe/Usiefrun Road; there are many projects that have been approved by the State Executive Council and are awaiting award,” he disclosed.
Speaking further, Izeze said, “these challenges have existed all along and we must commend our SMART Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for coming to our aid and as you can see, our people are very much excited.
“We pledge our unalloyed loyalty and support to the Okowa administration for bringing prosperity to our people and we also thank all our leaders who added their voices to ours in bringing the developmental challenges of our people to the attention of the Delta State Government.” he added.
