DELTA State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has said positive activities happening in the state should be projected to the world.
According to the Information Commissioner, there was the need for all Deltans to join the bandwagon of thinking positively, acting positively and letting the world know that more positive activities are taking place in the state than the few actions that paint the state in bad light.
Mr. Ukah, who was speaking during the monthly meeting of Mountain Club of Opkanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday, asserted that when positively projected, the state would become an investors’ haven.
The Information Commissioner thanked members of the club for coming out for the meeting, adding that it is good for Deltans to encourage themselves because our state is peaceful with hard working people who are receptive of visitors.
Mr. Ukah said that the activities of very few individuals in our state should not make the world to view us as home to kidnappers, pipeline vandals and all that, stressing that we should collectively champion positive actions, change the orientation of the people because our state is peaceful and investor-friendly.
While stating that the few issues of insecurity that had painted the state in bad light were being tackled by the state and federal governments, Mr. Ukah reiterated that with good investment, the socio-economic life of the people will improve.
